Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Practice Lead to spearhead business development and cultivate client relationships within a designated industry practice or functional domain. This role involves leading a team of consultants while actively participating in executive search assignments for senior-level placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Client Management: Develop and implement strategic plans to expand practice revenue, cultivate strong relationships with key clients including C-suite executives and board members, identify emerging business opportunities and market trends, lead client presentations and proposal creation, and achieve set revenue targets and KPIs.
- Search Execution & Delivery: Oversee complex executive search projects from initiation to conclusion, conduct thorough client consultations to grasp organizational needs and culture, formulate detailed search strategies and candidate profiles, lead candidate assessment, interviewing, and reference verification, and offer strategic guidance on talent acquisition and organizational development.
- Team Leadership & Development: Guide, mentor, and develop a team of consultants and researchers, provide coaching on search methodologies, client management, and business development, conduct performance evaluations, and support team members' career advancement, fostering a collaborative and high-achieving team environment.
- Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership: Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry dynamics, compensation benchmarks, and talent mobility, share market insights with clients and internal teams, represent the company at industry events and networking functions, and contribute to thought leadership through publications and speaking engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience & Background: Possess 8-12+ years of experience in executive search, with at least 5 years in a senior consultant or leadership capacity. Demonstrate a proven history of successfully managing searches for senior leadership roles (VP level and above). Have substantial experience within a specific industry vertical (e.g., Technology, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrial). Show evidence of success in business development and client relationship management.
- Skills & Competencies: Exhibit strong leadership capabilities to guide and motivate teams. Possess exceptional client management and relationship-building skills. Demonstrate commercial acumen with a solid understanding of P&L and business metrics. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Apply analytical thinking to assess complex organizational challenges and deliver strategic solutions. Leverage a well-established professional network within target industries or functions.

Additional Information
This role is based in Hyderabad, India, with options for remote or hybrid work arrangements. The position reports to the Vice President.
