Job description

Role overview

Ryanair, Europe’s biggest airline group, is looking for an energetic and committed PR & Communications Executive to strengthen its top-tier Communications team. The role is central to building media visibility across Europe in support of major business goals, including route and base launches as well as policy advocacy. Success in this position calls for a proactive mindset, quick decision-making, strong initiative, the ability to manage several priorities at once, and excellent attention to detail. A strong curiosity about news and current affairs is also important.

The selected candidate will work from the Dublin headquarters and report to the PR & Communications Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Ryanair during a period of significant growth, with the company on track to operate more than 800 aircraft and serve 300 million passengers annually by 2034.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of Ryanair’s communications approach across the 36 countries where the company operates.
  • Handle press enquiries and draft statements for the media.
  • Write press releases, presentations, and other media-facing materials, making sure they are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Arrange media events and meetings with important external stakeholders.
  • Pitch interview opportunities and prepare briefing notes for senior leaders.
  • Work closely with internal teams to collect information that strengthens communication output.
  • Track media coverage and assess the impact of press activity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in public relations, communications, journalism, or a closely related area, either in-house or through an agency.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-moving, and high-pressure setting while handling several projects at once.
  • Excellent written, edited, and spoken communication abilities.
  • Very strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel internationally when needed.
  • Interest in aviation is helpful, though not mandatory.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay package.
  • Discounted travel with unlimited access to more than 230 destinations.
  • Defined contribution pension plan.
  • Death-in-service cover worth up to twice the annual basic salary.
  • 20 days of annual leave, rising to 22 days after 12 months and 25 days after 3 years of continuous service.
  • Option to take up to 5 extra unpaid leave days each year.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Strong opportunities for career advancement.
