Role Purpose
The main objective of this position is to keep hygiene standards at the required level across manufacturing areas so that food can be produced safely in line with company standards.
Working Pattern and Pay
This role is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 to 19:00.
Base salary is £16,276.20 per year, with an additional shift allowance of £600.00 per year.
Key Duties
- Carry out cleaning tasks according to the company cleaning instruction cards and within the required cleaning frequency.
- Prepare and dilute cleaning chemicals correctly for the specific task, following the approved instructions.
- Use the right cleaning tools and materials for each assigned cleaning activity.
- Complete hygiene and cleaning records to the expected company standard and escalate any non-conformities to the Technical Services Manager.
- Return areas, items or machinery to the Production Line Manager once the scheduled cleaning is finished, confirming that they are fit for use.
- Keep hygiene supplies stocked and ensure items are replenished when needed.
- Help with stock checks for cleaning chemicals and materials.
- Follow COSHH requirements at all times and wear the correct personal protective equipment during every activity.
- Make sure chemicals, raw materials and finished goods are handled and stored in line with company, quality, safety and legal requirements.
- Report pest concerns or defects in cleaning equipment to the Technical Services Manager without delay.
- Follow all Rich Products health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Skills and Experience
- Basic numeracy ability.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
