Overview
Join Royal Mail as a Delivery Postperson based at the Ely Delivery Office (CB7 4PF). This is a permanent, full-time role offering 37 hours per week spread over 5 days between Monday and Sunday, including mandatory weekend shifts due to operational needs.
Working Hours
- Standard working hours from 08:00 to 16:00 on weekdays.
- Weekends are required; Saturdays and Sundays with Sunday shifts from 09:00 to 17:00.
- Employees receive 2 rest days weekly.
Role Description
As a Postperson, you will be the trusted face of Royal Mail in your local community, delivering parcels, letters, exam results, tax documents, and other important items directly to customers’ homes and small businesses. This role is physically active and involves extensive walking in all weather conditions.
Candidate Profile
- Positive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Organised, dependable, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
- Good interpersonal skills, enthusiastic about interacting with community members.
- Physically fit to walk long distances outdoors regardless of weather.
- Takes pride in supporting and serving the local community.
- Possesses a full UK manual driving license with up to 6 penalty points allowed.
