Overview
Join Royal Mail as a Postperson operating from the Cullompton Delivery Office, offering a permanent contract and a vital role in delivering for the local community. This position involves 37 hours per week, working across five days between Monday and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with Sunday shifts at the Exeter Delivery Office from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM on a rotational basis depending on operational demand.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and parcels on foot with care and consistency, regardless of weather conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service as a familiar and approachable face in the community.
- Maintain punctuality and organization to manage daily routes effectively.
- Support the operational needs by working set shifts including weekends based on a local schedule.
Candidate Profile
- Motivated, independent, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- A people-focused individual who values community interaction and customer service excellence.
- Physically fit and willing to walk long distances outdoors under various weather conditions.
- Holder of a valid full UK manual driving license with no more than six penalty points.
Compensation and Benefits
- Guaranteed hourly pay at £13.06, adjusted monthly according to actual hours worked.
- Overtime paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours over 40 per week.
