About the Position
The Global Computing Group at IMDEA Networks Institute is seeking a dedicated postdoctoral researcher specializing in the Network Scale-up Method (NSUM). This role involves conducting thorough research, publishing findings, supervising team members, applying for funding, and developing software under the mentorship of Antonio Fernandez Anta.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead research activities related to data analysis with NSUM.
- Publish research outcomes in reputable conferences and journals.
- Oversee and guide research efforts of other group members, including students and interns.
- Support in drafting grant proposals and securing funding.
- Assist in system design and software development within the group.
- Present research and engineering results to diverse audiences effectively.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- PhD in statistics, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis.
- Strong publication record demonstrating expertise in relevant research areas.
- Experience managing and supervising academic and engineering research teams.
- Capability to design, develop, and deploy computing systems.
- Proficient in preparing and contributing to grant applications.
- History of working with funded research projects and managing related tasks.
Additional Information
This postdoctoral position may be cofunded by the Comunidad de Madrid through a 2022 grant for predoctoral research staff hiring (reference PIPF-2022/COM-24467) and potentially by the ESF depending on compatibility with other European funding sources.
