About the Role
Mercor is a San Francisco-based company connecting top creative and technical professionals with leading AI research organizations. We are currently seeking a Portuguese Music Expert on a contract basis to contribute remotely.
Role Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe melodies by ear, capturing precise pitch and rhythm.
- Identify musical elements including key, tempo, and time signature.
- Process sung Portuguese lyrics with fluency, accounting for nuances such as accents and unclear vocalization.
- Collaborate with AI teams to enhance generative music models through your expertise.
- Work independently and asynchronously to achieve project deliverables.
Qualifications
- Possess a music-related degree or professional background as a musician, composer, transcriber, audio engineer, or music teacher.
- Demonstrate a keen ear and skills for accurate music transcription.
- Fluent in Portuguese, capable of handling complex lyrical content.
Additional Information
- Type of engagement: Contract
- Compensation ranges from $50 to $70 per hour.
- Time commitment is approximately 2 to 5 hours weekly.
- Location: Fully remote within the United States.
