About the Company

Sangoma is an international provider of unified communications, contact center, connectivity, and managed services offerings. Its solutions are designed to help businesses bring together people, processes, and technology using cloud-based, hybrid, and on-premise communication platforms.

Role Overview

The company is hiring a Portfolio Manager to lead planning, prioritization, governance, and delivery execution across the Unified Communications portfolio. This includes UCaaS, CCaaS, SIP Trunking, Managed Connectivity, and other related communications products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate incoming feature requests, change proposals, and new initiatives by reviewing their business value, scope, effort, risk, dependencies, and delivery implications.
  • Manage portfolio intake, triage, prioritization, and governance activities across several workstreams.
  • Work closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders to support planning, sequencing, and decisions involving trade-offs.
  • Coordinate across functions to resolve blockers, manage dependencies, and ensure teams are ready for delivery.
  • Coach delivery teams and Scrum Masters to improve planning discipline, execution quality, and overall team performance.
  • Define, document, and improve delivery operating models, governance routines, standards, and working methods to bring greater consistency across the delivery organization.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports covering roadmap status, milestones, dependencies, RAID items, capacity, and delivery progress.
  • Lead governance meetings and make sure decisions, action items, and follow-ups are captured and tracked clearly.
  • Help plan and execute programs and cross-team initiatives from initiation through completion.
  • Encourage effective use of workflow and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Kanban boards, and related reporting frameworks.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in portfolio management, program management, PMO leadership, product operations, agile operations, or a similar strategic planning role.
  • Background managing complex portfolios, programs, or cross-functional initiatives in SaaS, cloud communications, telecommunications, or technology settings.
  • Strong capability in portfolio governance, roadmap planning, prioritization methods, capacity planning, and investment decisions.
  • Ability to review new work requests, weigh trade-offs, and support prioritization decisions at the executive level.
  • Experience designing executive dashboards and reporting on portfolio health, delivery status, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource usage.
  • Solid understanding of Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Practical experience with Jira, Confluence, portfolio reporting, and workflow management systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and align business and technical groups.
  • Strong business and financial judgment, including ROI evaluation, budgeting considerations, and strategic planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in unified communications, UCaaS, CCaaS, VoIP, SIP Trunking, contact center, telecommunications, or cloud communications.
  • Exposure to product organizations using recurring revenue and SaaS business models.
  • SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar certifications.
  • Experience supporting global product and engineering teams.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits options including health, vision, dental, and long-term and short-term disability coverage, available after a brief waiting period.
  • 401(k) matching with a 100% match on the first 4% contributed.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan available after one year of service.
  • Flexible time off and company holidays.
  • Entrepreneurial environment with strong opportunities for career growth.
