Job description

Overview

Mindrift offers project-based AI work to subject-matter experts who help test, assess, and refine AI systems for major technology clients. This is not a permanent role; participation happens on a per-project basis.

What you may work on

  • Build and review quarterly business review scenarios that compare performance against benchmarks, examine allocation drift versus IPS tolerance ranges, and flag meaningful changes in fund documents.
  • Prepare rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting test cases, including cost basis checks, short-term versus long-term capital gains, and application of the wash-sale rule.
  • Develop suitability checks around risk appetite, investment horizon, restricted holdings, and concentration limits against a client’s Investment Policy Statement.
  • Create fee-stack evaluation cases covering portfolio-weighted expense ratios, advisory charges, and total cost comparisons with category benchmarks.
  • Record test cases accurately, including validated calculations, policy references, and the correct final answers.

Who this fits

This opportunity is suited to professionals from investment management, financial advisory, or wider financial services backgrounds who are comfortable taking on part-time, non-permanent project work.

Application requirements

Please upload your CV in English and clearly mention your English proficiency level.

Project model and time commitment

The work is organized as a sequence of steps: apply, complete qualification checks, join a project, carry out tasks, and receive payment.

During active project periods, the expected time commitment is approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not guaranteed as a fixed workload.

Compensation

Pay can reach the equivalent of $60 per hour for this project, depending on experience level and the speed of contribution. Compensation differs by project, based on scope, complexity, and the expertise required.

Additional information

Contributors should ideally have current or recent experience in advisory, management, or closely related roles. A strong working understanding of portfolio performance analysis, tax-lot accounting, wash-sale rules, and Investment Policy Statement concepts is preferred. Professional credentials such as CFA, CFP, CPWA, CIMA, or CIPM are considered a positive advantage.
