Job description

Overview

Mindrift partners with subject-matter experts for project-based AI work supporting major technology companies. The focus is on checking, assessing, and refining AI systems rather than taking on a permanent role.

For this opportunity, candidates should submit a CV in English and clearly mention their English proficiency level.

Project scope

Depending on the assignment, contributors may be asked to build and review finance-focused test scenarios and validation cases such as:

  • Quarterly Business Review scenarios covering performance versus benchmark, allocation drift within IPS tolerance bands, and significant changes in fund documentation.
  • Rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting cases that account for cost basis, short-term and long-term capital gains, and wash-sale rule handling.
  • Suitability checks that assess risk tolerance, investment horizon, restricted holdings, and concentration limits against a client Investment Policy Statement.
  • Fee-stack analysis examples comparing portfolio-weighted expense ratios, advisory charges, and total cost against category benchmarks.
  • Well-documented test cases with verified calculations, policy references, and accurate final answers.

Candidate profile

This work suits professionals from investment management, financial advisory, or wider financial services backgrounds who are open to part-time project work that is not permanent.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related subject; at least 2 years of experience in finance, investment, accounting, or financial services; and recent or current exposure to advisory, management, or similar roles.

Strong practical understanding of portfolio performance analysis, tax-lot accounting, wash-sale rules, and Investment Policy Statements is expected. Credentials such as CFA, CFP, CPWA, CIMA, or CIPM are considered a strong advantage.

English proficiency at C1 level or above is required.

How the work model operates

The process is: apply, complete the qualification stage(s), join a project, finish the assigned tasks, and then receive payment.

Time commitment

During active phases, the expected workload is about 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not a fixed guarantee. It applies only while a project is live.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to the equivalent of USD 60 per hour on this project, depending on their level and the speed of their contribution. Pay levels may differ from one project to another based on scope, complexity, and the expertise required.
