The Porter role centers on maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community while delivering excellent customer service to residents. This position is crucial to upholding the property's reputation at Quarters Gainesville, a distinct housing community designed for University of Florida students, featuring 251 units and 920 beds.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time, onsite position with regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasionally, nights or weekends may be required depending on business needs. The pay range is between $14.00 and $16.16 per hour, with potential bonuses. Compensation is based on market data, considering the candidate's education, skills, experience, and location.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service during all interactions with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members
• Maintain cleanliness by removing trash and debris from common areas daily to keep them presentable
• Sweep and clear debris from curbs, parking lots, walkways, and staircases
• Clean and maintain the pool and spa according to manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards
• Ensure daily cleaning of the pool deck, restrooms, clubhouse, fitness room, and model units
• Perform trash removal duties for vacated units, including disposing of abandoned furniture and other items
• Assist during annual unit turnover and support move-in and move-out operations

Qualifications and Requirements

• Preferably one or more years of experience in housekeeping or similar roles
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong integrity and professionalism
• Self-driven and capable of excelling in a team-oriented setting
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Capacity to sit, bend, and lift for up to eight hours with appropriate breaks in various environments
