About the Role

Delaware North Australia seeks to hire a full-time Porter for the Mindil Beach Casino Resort located in Darwin, Northern Territory. As the initial point of contact for arriving guests, this role is pivotal for delivering a customized and welcoming experience throughout their stay. The ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent customer care, efficient assistance to guest requirements, and uphold superior standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests upon arrival, escort them to rooms, inform them about resort amenities and services, and offer ongoing support during their visit.
• Address guest questions and requests promptly and courteously.
• Provide recommendations for dining, entertainment, retail, tours, and sightseeing opportunities around Darwin.
• Manage valet parking, coordinate airport shuttle and taxi services, and handle luggage transportation to and from guest rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the lobby, entrance, and baggage areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Proven customer service expertise paired with a positive demeanor and professional appearance.
• Minimum six months experience working as a porter or comparable role.
• Familiarity with 5-star hotel operations.
• Knowledgeable in using Movielink and Vingcard systems.
• Possession of a valid Northern Territory Full Manual Driver’s License (C & B class).
• Possession or readiness to obtain a commercial passenger vehicle license (H endorsement) upon hire.
• Flexible to work shifts spanning seven days per week, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
