Job description
About the Role
This opportunity is for a population health informatics professional who can help improve AI systems used in healthcare. The work focuses on using expertise in population-level health data to evaluate how well AI interprets public health trends, inequities, and interventions.
The role is with Alignerr and is structured as an hourly contract. It is fully remote, and the expected commitment is between 10 and 40 hours each week.
What You Will Do
- Assess AI-produced analyses of population health information for correctness, usefulness, and clinical credibility.
- Check outputs that discuss health trends, epidemiological patterns, and community-level differences in outcomes.
- Deliver clear, structured expert feedback that helps AI systems handle public health concepts more accurately.
- Spot missing context, mistakes, or conclusions that could mislead readers in AI-generated health content.
- Use your understanding of data pipelines, dashboards, and health reporting methods to judge outputs in context.
- Work on tasks independently and asynchronously according to your own schedule.
Who You Are
- You have experience working with healthcare, public health, or population-level datasets.
- You bring a strong analytical mindset and are familiar with data visualisation, dashboards, or health reporting tools.
- You can detect subtle errors in health data interpretation or epidemiological reasoning.
- You are comfortable turning complex insights into concise, structured feedback.
- You are dependable, detail-focused, and effective when working on your own.
- No previous AI background is needed; the key requirement is your health informatics experience.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to data annotation, data quality checks, or evaluation workflows.
- Academic or practical background in epidemiology, biostatistics, or health informatics.
- Familiarity with public health surveillance systems or population health platforms.
- Experience handling EHR data, claims data, or social determinants of health datasets.
Why Join
- Get involved in advanced AI work alongside leading research labs and health-oriented teams.
- Enjoy full remote flexibility with the freedom to choose how much or how little you work.
- Benefit from freelance-style independence, varied work, and collaboration with people around the world.
- Contribute to meaningful projects that help AI better understand healthcare challenges affecting millions.
- There is potential for continued work and contract renewal.
