Job description
About the Role
This freelance opportunity supports the personal brand of Zainab Mounabbah, who co-founded Hyprwork and serves as its Chief Marketing Officer. Hyprwork is a fast-growing operator of direct-to-consumer health and wellness brands, and Zainab is also a Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe honoree. She is starting a new interview-format podcast and needs a capable video editor to turn raw footage into polished, YouTube-ready episodes, plus short social clips. The show will feature conversations with founders, creators, and operators, so the editing style needs to feel modern, premium, and consistent from the first release.
The Role
You will take full ownership of post-production for a brand-new interview series. Using raw multi-camera video and audio recordings, you will build finished episodes for YouTube by shaping the story, improving pacing, cleaning the audio, correcting color, and adding the graphic treatment and finishing touches that create a cohesive channel identity. In addition to the long-form episodes, you will create short vertical clips for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, designed to grab attention immediately and support audience growth. Because the series is just being launched, you will help define the visual style from episode one rather than simply follow an existing format. This is a practical, portfolio-driven role for someone who enjoys conversation-led content and values a polished final product.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for editing complete podcast episodes from raw source material into refined, YouTube-ready videos. That includes syncing multiple camera angles, tightening the edit for flow and clarity, and removing pauses, filler, and errors. You will also balance and clean audio across speakers, reduce background noise, and aim for broadcast-level sound quality.
On the visual side, you will correct and grade footage so the series maintains a consistent, premium appearance. You will add intros and outros, guest-name lower thirds, title cards, chapter markers, captions and subtitles, B-roll, and subtle motion graphics that support the brand. You will also create short-form vertical edits from each episode for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, formatted and captioned appropriately for social platforms. File delivery should follow the correct export settings for each destination, and you will be expected to keep project files organized, manage versions carefully, and handle revision rounds efficiently. Over time, you will help strengthen the channel’s visual identity and overall production quality.
Requirements
The ideal editor has proven experience working on podcasts or other long-form interview content and can share a portfolio or reel of published episodes. Strong English skills, both spoken and written, are important so you can follow conversations accurately, clean up captions, and communicate directly with the host. You should be highly proficient in a professional editing tool such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, and experience with After Effects or another motion-graphics tool is a plus.
You should be comfortable with multi-camera editing, audio cleanup, and color grading, and you should also know how to cut short vertical clips from longer recordings. Captioning and subtitling should be part of your workflow. The role also calls for a strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and a contemporary premium visual style. Reliability, clear communication, the ability to meet deadlines while working remotely and asynchronously, and the flexibility to join occasional live discussions during a UAE and Europe-friendly time window are all important. A portfolio is mandatory, and each sample should include a link to the published work along with your specific contribution and the client or project it was for.
Nice to Have
It would be beneficial if you also bring experience with YouTube packaging and thumbnail design, or if you can build a brand kit or motion graphics package from scratch. Background editing for founder-led, business, personal-brand, or health-and-wellness channels would be an advantage. Familiarity with YouTube retention editing, strong hooks, and chaptering best practices is also useful. Access to licensed music and sound-effect libraries would be a plus.
Benefits
This is a flexible, fully remote freelance role paid on an hourly basis. You will work directly with a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder who is building a new podcast from the ground up. The initial engagement covers a defined set of episodes, with a strong possibility of continued work if the collaboration is successful. You will have real creative ownership over the look and feel of a growing channel, along with quick founder-led decision-making and minimal bureaucracy. Payment is made in USD through Wise, or via the USD account or virtual wallet of your choice, including Payoneer, PayPal, or a USD bank account.
Additional Information
This is a freelance engagement for a new podcast series centered on interviews with founders, creators, and operators. The editor is expected to help establish the show’s identity from the beginning and contribute to a premium, consistent viewing experience across full episodes and short-form social cuts.
