Role Overview
We are offering a contract role for a PMO Reporting Analyst skilled in Power BI, situated within a large enterprise in Perth, Western Australia. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing portfolio reporting, governance, and executive-level decision-making amidst a complex technological landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, update, and disseminate portfolio and executive-level reports including monthly portfolio summaries and governance documents.
- Create and refine Power BI dashboards showcasing portfolio performance, project KPIs, risks, issues, compliance, and governance indicators.
- Gather, verify, and analyze data from various sources to ensure reporting precision.
- Leverage Power BI to consolidate and confirm project status reports, liaising with stakeholders to address data gaps or inconsistencies.
- Coordinate governance report submissions and prepare presentations for executive governance forums.
- Support stage gate reviews and portfolio governance activities.
- Administer portfolio management tools, handle project updates, stage gate management, and regulate user permissions.
- Process reporting requests via workflow systems and shared mailboxes.
- Update and maintain reporting documentation, templates, and governance materials.
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting systems, data quality, and dashboards.
- Provide guidance and training on governance processes and reporting tools to project stakeholders.
- Assist the IT Portfolio Manager and PMO with ongoing portfolio operations.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven experience producing portfolio, project or program reports within a PMO structure.
- Demonstrated expertise in Power BI development, including dashboard creation, enhancement, and paginated reports.
- Familiarity with Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI.
- Strong data analysis and validation capabilities.
- Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and translating them into actionable reporting solutions.
- Capability to deliver accurate executive-level and governance reporting materials.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative working approach with ability to work independently.
Additional Technical Proficiencies
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and reporting templates.
- Experience with PMO, project, or portfolio governance frameworks.
- Stakeholder engagement expertise and documentation skills for reporting processes.
Preferred Qualifications and Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools.
- Experience with enterprise workflow and portfolio management platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID security groups and Microsoft Forms workflows.
- Exposure to higher education or complex enterprise environments.
- Understanding of governance frameworks at project, program, and portfolio levels.
- Experience supporting executive committees and governance bodies.
Contract Details and Benefits
- This is an initial 5-month contract with a strong possibility of extension.
