Role Overview
We have an opening for a Project Manager focused on our Investment Management PMO team. This role requires over eight years of experience in financial services and technology solution implementation to lead a significant project involving technology and operating model enhancements for our Investment Management division.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide robust project governance while driving advancement towards strategic goals aligned with the organization's Technology and Data strategies.
- Plan and monitor multiple project deliverables, including resource allocation, budgeting, and communicating status updates to governance bodies such as SteerCo and the Value for Money Forum.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues to mitigate impact on delivery timelines and outcomes, including cross-project risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all organizational levels to ensure alignment and engagement.
- Drive operational efficiency improvements and foster teamwork.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure project delivery meets time, cost, scope, and quality standards in accordance with project management methodologies.
- Champion cross-functional teamwork and collaboration to meet deadlines effectively.
- Strategically manage project vision, planning, organization, and swift execution.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in technology solution implementation and integration within financial services environments.
- Skilled in managing third-party vendor relationships, including collaboration and resolving issues.
- Expertise in process improvements aimed at increasing operational efficiency.
- Experience designing operating models tailored to business needs.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across all organizational tiers.
- Outstanding communication and influencing capabilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage concurrent workstreams and dependencies.
- Track record of benefit realization from project initiatives.
- Experienced in both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
- Effective change management skills with an ability to drive adoption of new processes and systems.
- Domain knowledge in Funds and Investment Management, including performance management and reporting systems, is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business, project management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or Agile qualification are preferred.
