About the Role

AUS Racing Team is looking for a seasoned PMO leader to take charge of project governance, portfolio delivery, and strategic execution across the business. This role suits someone who can turn organizational priorities into well-run programs and measurable outcomes while working closely with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and run the Project Management Office, including governance models, delivery standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Coordinate the organization’s project and program portfolio so that initiatives remain aligned with wider business goals.
  • Work with executive leadership to rank priorities, direct resources, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Track portfolio health across budgets, deadlines, risks, dependencies, and performance metrics.
  • Create and refine project management standards, reporting structures, and delivery workflows.
  • Guide, coach, and develop project managers, program managers, and other PMO team members.
  • Build executive dashboards, portfolio summaries, governance materials, and recommendation reports for senior leadership.
  • Strengthen delivery performance, foster continuous improvement, and increase project management maturity across the organization.
  • Oversee risk controls, compliance, quality assurance, and governance practices to support reliable execution.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership experience in PMO environments, portfolio oversight, or major transformation programs. You should be comfortable handling enterprise-scale, cross-functional work and influencing stakeholders at senior levels. Strong planning, financial awareness, operational discipline, and resource management skills are important, along with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
