Plumber

Position Summary

The role involves addressing minor plumbing issues such as clearing obstructed drains. Responsibilities include assembling pipe sections, tubing, and fittings, and detecting leaks by filling pipes or fixtures with water or air. The plumber will review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to plan installations, measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required angles. Installation and upkeep of pipe assemblies, valves, fittings, appliances, and fixtures are essential duties, alongside performing small repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment.

Work Environment and Safety

Strict adherence to company safety and security policies is mandatory, including reporting any hazards, accidents, or injuries and completing required safety training. Personal appearance and cleanliness must be maintained according to company standards. Confidentiality of proprietary information must be respected, and company assets protected.

Guest Interaction and Physical Requirements

Welcoming and acknowledging guests respectfully, anticipating, and addressing service requirements are part of the responsibilities. Effective communication in a clear and professional manner is expected. The physical demands include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 75 pounds unaided, and assisting with heavier items exceeding 100 pounds. Physical movements such as grasping, turning, bending, twisting, stooping, ladder climbing, standing, sitting, or walking for extended durations are required. Additional tasks appointed by supervisors must be undertaken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma.
• Minimum of two years of relevant plumbing experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required Certifications

• Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License.
• Plumber Certification.
