Job description
Role purpose
The Plant Head is responsible for driving better productivity and product quality through structured improvements. The role aims to strengthen continuous quality enhancement, maintain uninterrupted operations, reduce spare-part costs and inventory, and build a zero-incident workplace by ensuring strict adherence to safety rules and disciplined working practices across the plant.
Business context
This position sits within the Building Products Division of the chemical construction industry, which supports infrastructure development through innovative and technology-led building solutions. The division serves as a 360-degree building materials destination and produces engineered solutions for modern construction needs, including AAC blocks and dry mix products such as waterproofing, grouting and plastering materials.
The market for building products is highly fragmented, with a mix of small local players and a few large competitors. This creates strong price competition, but also long-term opportunity for organizations that can build strong brands and distribution networks. The Indian construction chemicals market is still developing and is seeing rising interest from both domestic and international participants, along with increasing investment in R&D, sustainable products and newer technologies. Growth in new construction and renovation activity is expected to further expand demand.
