Plant and Equipment Coordinator

Role Overview

Operating from the Plant Yard in Flatbush, Auckland, this dynamic and multifaceted role is essential for ensuring timely procurement and coordination of materials and construction equipment needed across site projects in the greater Auckland region.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated background in procurement, ideally within technical or engineering sectors
• Basic understanding of construction machinery, spare parts, and related materials
• Proficiency with JD Edwards (JDE) software is mandatory
• Track record of maintaining high accuracy in work outputs
• Experience within construction site operations is beneficial
• Strong organisational and planning capabilities

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors regarding purchase orders
• Analyze costs of quotations to obtain optimal purchasing results
• Create and manage material codes within inventory systems
• Handle receipt and distribution of materials, services, and assets using JDE
• Ensure proper documentation of plant-related expenditures
• Support maintenance scheduling and monitoring of plant equipment
• Maintain registers tracking active and inactive machinery, efficiency metrics, and breakdown records
• Collaborate with the plant team to plan fleet activities and movements
