Its India office is looking to add engineers and designers as it grows its team to support multiple projects.

Role Overview

This position is for a Plant 3D Designer based in Chennai. The role focuses on piping design and 3D modelling work using AutoCAD Plant 3D, along with drawing extraction and review support for project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D models for large-bore piping, small-bore piping, and balance-of-plant piping, including primary and secondary supports, in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Apply piping routing knowledge for critical lines, especially where high temperatures are involved.
• Model piping and related components individually using inputs such as P&IDs, stress reports, and boiler pressure part details.
• Prepare piping layouts, production isometrics, and bills of material in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Interpret technical documents such as P&IDs, line lists, piping material specifications, vendor GADs, and in-line instrument information.
• Take part in and help lead 30%, 60%, and 90% model review stages in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Work with piping layout concepts and support related 2D drafting work in AutoCAD.

Eligibility

Candidates should hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Technical Requirements

• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Strong understanding of piping design and piping layout concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project documents.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting.
