Role Overview
This vital leadership position within project controls is focused on creating, overseeing, and maintaining detailed programme schedules for extensive Data Centre projects. Collaborating closely with project management, commercial teams, engineers, and construction personnel, the role demands schedule leadership, performance tracking, forecasting, and progress reporting to guarantee the projects meet their delivery targets smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and scheduling throughout major Data Centre projects from design to commissioning and handover phases.
- Develop and manage integrated master schedules that align with programme goals.
- Set project controls and planning standards for multiple projects and workstreams.
- Monitor schedule status and performance against approved baselines.
- Perform schedule analyses including critical path and risk assessments.
- Provide precise forecasting and scenario evaluations to aid client decision-making.
- Create executive reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Manage schedule updates, delays, and develop recovery strategies.
- Coordinate planning activities among contractors, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Lead schedule review sessions and evaluate programme performance.
- Assist in risk management through schedule risk identification and mitigation planning.
- Work with commercial and project controls teams to synchronize schedule and cost reports.
- Guide and mentor planning engineers and junior project controls staff.
- Continuously improve planning methods, systems, and reporting approaches.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced in planning, scheduling, or project controls positions.
- Extensive background in large-scale Data Centre projects, especially hyperscale or mission-critical facilities.
- Advanced user of Primavera P6 and other project controls software.
- Proven skills in creating and managing sophisticated integrated master schedules.
- Degree holder in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as APM, PMI, PSP, AACE, or similar is advantageous.
- Experience working in Middle East projects is highly preferred.
