Role overview
The Planning & Records Officer for Rotary Wing operations is tasked with producing and controlling the required work cards and work instructions based on approved engineering references such as AMPs, SBs, ADs, EOs, ESWC, and other authorised technical documents. All records and outputs must align with OEM-approved data and QCAA requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, review, and keep work cards current within the airworthiness system.
- Respond to questions about maintenance work packages and check completed work packs for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain component records and update the time control system and defect entries in airworthiness systems.
- Manage and refresh Aircraft and Engine modification/repair e-logbooks.
- Compile aircraft status reports for ARC inspections and MDR audits.
- Take part in internal and external planning records audits.
- Assist with keeping AD records current in the time control system.
- Handle technical records queries and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- Administer technical records and archives.
- Track inventory of stationary documents such as logbooks.
- Prepare and distribute monthly reporting, including the Aircraft Maintenance Status Report and QAF Monthly Fleet Status Report.
- Support the Airworthiness Manager and Senior Manager CAMO in carrying out their responsibilities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Aeronautical studies or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years of experience in a planning and records function within rotary wing operations.
- Practical working knowledge of Trax or AMOS.
- Strong understanding of helicopter aviation operations.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Good interpersonal and coordination skills.
- High accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail when completing tasks.
