Role overview
The Kansas City Chiefs are hiring a seasonal assistant to support the Sr. Manager of Planning & Program Management within the Program & Project Management department. This hourly, seasonal position focuses on keeping projects, campaigns, and cross-functional initiatives moving smoothly while helping resolve issues, maintain alignment among stakeholders, and support overall satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with planning and execution for media and marketing work across business portfolios and platforms.
- Bring together cross-functional teams by arranging meetings, organizing follow-ups, and turning discussions into clear action items.
- Prepare project briefs and build timelines in Wrike.
- Partner with teams across Marketing Verticals, Communications, and Arrowhead Events to help advance programs, improve workflows, and remove obstacles.
- Look for process gaps and suggest practical improvements.
- Help manage outside agencies and vendors, including scope drafting, proposal review, and invoice oversight.
- Set up and lead recurring meetings with internal collaborators and, when needed, urgent stakeholder discussions.
- Create supporting materials such as internal communications, agendas, and project briefs.
- Keep calendars, reference materials, and key updates current and share them with the team.
- Draft monthly updates for internal teams covering upcoming projects, important dates, and related information.
- Handle a mix of analytical and creative work in an adaptable project management role.
- Support exploratory, strategic projects that require strong planning and execution skills.
- Help with daily operational tasks, including shipping, staff off-sites, and other assigned duties.
Experience and qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing, or a similar field is expected.
- Applicants should bring strong strategic planning skills and the ability to build agreement across teams.
- Effective interpersonal abilities, including leadership and team-building strengths, are important.
- The role calls for creativity, the ability to juggle multiple projects, and solid project management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Wrike is required.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills are needed.
- Experience with brief creation, PowerPoint storytelling, and Excel is preferred.
