Job description
About the Role
The Internal Security Department works to protect Singapore from threats to its internal security and overall stability. For more than 75 years, ISD and its predecessor agencies have been central to addressing dangers from foreign subversive actors, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission that helps keep Singapore safe, secure, and sovereign.
You will join a team focused on technology planning, policy development and compliance, and managing relationships with important stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor current and emerging technology developments in Singapore and internationally, especially across infocommunications and digital trends, to identify both security risks and possible advantages from future technologies.
- Evaluate existing technologies to determine whether they create security concerns, and update or develop policies when new security conditions require it.
- Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders so that security policies can be implemented smoothly and industry feedback can be collected quickly.
Candidate Profile
- No prior work experience is required; fresh applicants may be considered.
- Strong ability to engage stakeholders and build relationships.
- Good written and spoken English.
- A keen interest in digital developments and the ability to assess the practical effects of technology will be helpful.
- Applicants must be Singaporean.
Additional Information
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
