Planning Engineer

Role Overview

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project master schedules, closely monitoring contractor construction timelines, submittals, material deliveries, procurement logs, and daily progress tracking. This includes conducting productivity measurement studies and implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Key Duties

• Manage all planning aspects for designated projects, including progress monitoring.
• Utilize project management and Microsoft Office software, with a preference for Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, alongside MS Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Support enhancements to existing planning and progress monitoring methodologies to improve efficiency.
• Establish and maintain effective project control measures across all assignments.
• Assess Extension of Time claims accurately.
• Communicate crucial project issues promptly to Engineers and Project Managers.
• Attend and contribute to regular meetings with clients and subcontractors.
• Compile and maintain detailed records of construction productivity data.
• Provide assistance in contract administration tasks, including the review of Interim Payment Certificates.
• Support resource scheduling for projects and contribute to the preparation and evaluation of future bids.
• Possess knowledge of project management principles and experience managing complex or multi-contractor design projects is desirable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned periodically.
