About the Role and Team
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts operates on a “we make magic” mindset, and this position supports that mission by helping teams deliver exceptional entertainment experiences. In this role, you will handle advanced planning, scheduling, and materials control for Facility Shared Services within the Facilities and Operations Services organization.
You will report to the Manufacturing Planning Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep asset records, job plans, and preventative maintenance documentation current in the Maximo CMMS platform to support compliance and high show-quality standards.
- Build detailed forward-looking schedules with partner teams so labor and material needs are properly aligned.
- Help ensure work practices meet state regulations, company standards, and show-quality objectives.
- Work across Resort departments, including Operations, Safety, Engineering, Training, and Systems, to coordinate activities.
- Use business metrics to communicate team performance to stakeholders and encourage continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the planning, strategy, and delivery of projects.
- Take part in audits to confirm documentation and execution meet required standards.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or project planning.
- Ability to understand and communicate written and spoken data, analysis, and recommendations to people at all levels.
- Hands-on experience using Excel with complex spreadsheets, plus Business Objects, Primavera, Akwire, MS Project, and similar tools for analysis, modeling, reporting, and job-plan development.
- Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong technical writing skills for creating job plans from standards and source materials, along with PM strategies that improve resource use.
- Experience creating level-loaded project and labor schedules.
- Background across multiple planning, buying, and scheduling functions.
- Ability to build clear business cases that improve efficiency and to plan, track, and present complex projects with limited direction.
- Comfort representing Facilities Shared Services in meetings with Resort partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with CMMS platforms, particularly Maximo.
- Availability to work weekends, nights, holidays, and third-shift hours.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
Additional Information
The compensation range for this California role is $87,200 to $106,400 per year. Actual pay may differ based on internal equity, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. The total package may also include a bonus and/or long-term incentive units, along with medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the level and position offered.
