Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update project schedules as per project requirements and execution plans.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of detailed work packages.
- Facilitate planning and scheduling communications among project teams, clients, and EPC contractors.
- Oversee progress of engineering, procurement, construction, and other execution activities.
- Prepare regular daily and weekly reports detailing progress and performance.
- Support earned value management and assess project status relative to baselines.
- Identify schedule discrepancies, delays, constraints, and emerging risks.
- Maintain detailed Level 3 engineering and project schedules.
- Assist in managing and updating the Client Master Schedule.
- Monitor engineering deliverables via Master Document and Deliverables Status Registers.
- Track engineering progress against approved schedules and measurement systems.
- Oversee procurement plans, purchase orders, vendor documentation, and delivery timelines.
- Generate procurement progress reports highlighting potential impacts on milestones.
- Review contractor schedules, progress updates, forecasts, and confirm report accuracy.
- Validate physical progress against project documentation.
- Focus on critical and near-critical activities, evaluating effects on overall project timelines.
- Contribute to schedule recovery and mitigation planning as needed.
- Coordinate with various teams to confirm progress and forecast completion dates.
- Prepare schedule analyses, dashboards, and planning materials for management reviews.
- Maintain precise planning documentation aligned with project procedures, client needs, and company standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related field.
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, or controls within oil & gas, refining, petrochemicals, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity supporting EPC, downstream, brownfield, or site-execution projects.
- Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and forecasting methodologies.
- Expertise in Primavera P6 and developing detailed Level 3 schedules.
- Understanding of earned value management and schedule performance analysis.
- Experience with Master Document Registers and Engineering Deliverables Status Registers.
- Competent in monitoring procurement activities and vendor/material delivery schedules.
- Capability to review contractor reports and verify quantities claimed.
- Good grasp of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning workflows.
- Ability to detect schedule risks, constraints, and delays.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Availability and willingness to work full-time at the home office in Al Khobar.
- Knowledge of EcoSys and Power BI is a plus.
- Professional certifications like PMP, PMI-SP, or AACE are advantageous.
- Exposure to work in Saudi Arabia, Middle East, or downstream projects is preferred.
