Overview

Wood Australia is seeking experienced Planners / Schedulers to join their team based in the Surat Basin, western Queensland. This role involves working on critical energy infrastructure projects that contribute significantly to Australia's energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed maintenance, construction, and overhaul schedules aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure and CTR Catalogue, utilizing Primavera P6 software.
  • Plan and organize Wood and subcontractors' work activities timely to ensure availability of necessary resources and minimize workforce disruptions.
  • Prepare and distribute plans, schedules, progress, and performance reports meeting reporting standards.
  • Ensure the execution team understands and is accountable for achieving planned objectives.
  • Monitor and control planning activities throughout the turnaround lifecycle from planning to execution phase.
  • Coordinate with procurement, execution, and other relevant functions while maintaining awareness of turnaround impacts on schedules and budgets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure plans align with preferred execution methodologies and timings.
  • Accurately report on-site progress including direct and non-productive man-hours.
  • Prepare and issue updates to contract manpower requirements timely.
  • Manage development and issuance of change orders or variations related to scope changes conforming with change notifications.
  • Facilitate internal progress and performance meetings as necessary.
  • Participate in site and client meetings to present schedule and performance updates.
  • Provide feedback to the Contract Manager on contract and team performance at site.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least five years of experience as a Planner / Scheduler.
  • Extensive experience with brownfield maintenance and projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must hold full work rights to work in Australia.
