Role overview
The Placement Officer will act as the bridge between students, employers, alumni, and the wider industry network. This role focuses on building employer connections, supporting student career readiness, and coordinating placement activities that lead to successful hiring outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with industry partners to support recruitment activities.
- Assess student training requirements and coordinate the necessary support.
- Plan and arrange campus interview drives.
- Support students through one-to-one counselling and group sessions to clarify academic goals, career interests, and short- and long-term plans.
- Help students create and improve job search strategies.
- Prepare presentation material or attractive handouts about the college for prospective employers.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of student profiles across departments.
- Run proactive placement outreach and campaign efforts.
- Support employers in meeting their recruitment needs.
- Equip students with lasting career decision-making abilities.
- Provide tools, guidance, and activities that strengthen the career planning process.
- Serve as the connection point among students, alumni, and employment partners.
- Work on improving student skill levels so they align with industry expectations.
- Create awareness among students about future career paths and opportunities.
- Coordinate with companies to recruit candidates based on their requirements.
- Assist students in securing final placements in reputed organizations.
- Monitor placement-related advertisements and match opportunities to student profiles.
- Share suitable candidate resumes with potential employers.
- Help ensure the best candidate-to-role fit so students can build successful careers.
- Organize placement training sessions that prepare students for interviews and group discussions.
- Obtain management approval for on-campus recruitment drives and communicate updates through department placement coordinators.
- Act as a mediator between partner industries and the institution for placement-related coordination.
- Guide and counsel students toward permanent employment by connecting them with prospective employers.
Additional information
Salary is open for the right candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Healthcare or Clinical Research. This is a work-from-home opportunity. Paid sick time is provided as a benefit.
