Role Summary
This is an on-site, full-time position in Ahmedabad for a Placement Officer. The role is centered on developing employer networks, creating job and internship opportunities for students, and coordinating the complete placement process from recruitment drives to interview support. The position also includes student readiness activities such as resume workshops, mock interviews, soft-skills coaching, and career guidance, along with record-keeping, reporting, and coordination with academic teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain professional relationships with hiring partners, recruiters, HR teams, and companies.
- Create opportunities for student employment and internships through active outreach and networking.
- Plan and coordinate campus recruitment events and drive end-to-end placement activities.
- Arrange interview schedules, maintain communication with recruiters, and track follow-ups.
- Support students through screening, interviews, and selection stages.
- Conduct or coordinate resume development sessions, mock interview practice, soft-skills training, and career counseling.
- Maintain accurate placement data, document outcomes, and prepare regular status reports for management.
- Work closely with faculty and academic teams to ensure training aligns with current industry expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong ability to build relationships, network effectively, and manage stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to organize placement events and manage several recruitment drives at once.
- Comfort with basic data handling, record maintenance, and reporting.
- Awareness of technology hiring trends and IT job profiles such as networking, cloud, and cybersecurity is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field; qualifications in HR, management, or a related area are beneficial.
- Previous exposure to placements, corporate relations, recruitment, or career services, preferably in education or training.
- Self-driven, student-focused, and able to work both independently and within a team.
