Position Details
- This is a 12-month parental leave cover position beginning 16th September 2026.
- Full-time role requiring 80 hours biweekly with flexible monthly accrued day offs.
- Position level corresponds to Physiotherapy Grade 2, Year 1-4 (VB1-VB4).
- Work location is Caulfield Hospital.

About the Department
The Community Rehabilitation Program, based at Caulfield Hospital, delivers client-focused rehabilitation through Home Based, Centre Based, and Falls Clinic services. The multi-disciplinary team works collaboratively to assist eligible clients post-illness or injury to reach their rehabilitation goals. The team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers, allied health assistants, nursing staff, pharmacists, dietitians, and psychologists.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will join the Community Rehabilitation team as a Physiotherapist, providing tailored rehabilitation interventions both in clients' homes and within the rehabilitation center. The caseload is varied, allowing development of skills across a wide array of clinical conditions. Access to professional development opportunities is provided.
Qualifications & Registration
- Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Eligibility for membership in the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
- Current unrestricted Victorian driver's license.
Key Skills and Experience
- At least three years of clinical physiotherapy experience.
- Recent practical experience in rehabilitation or aged care settings.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and evidence-based service delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills fostering teamwork.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in orthopedics, neurology, and gerontology.
- Active engagement in relevant professional development activities.
