Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Qatar is for a Photovoltaic Technician responsible for installing, servicing, and restoring solar power systems so they operate safely and efficiently. The role calls for hands-on technical work, attention to electrical safety, and coordination with other teams to complete project work and maintain client satisfaction.
Key Duties
- Set up photovoltaic systems and carry out routine maintenance to keep them performing well.
- Examine systems, identify faults, and resolve issues in modules, wiring, and related components.
- Replace damaged or defective solar modules and other system parts when needed.
- Follow applicable electrical codes, technical standards, and site procedures at all times.
- Work closely with project teams to support smooth execution and timely completion of assignments.
- Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements while working on site.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should bring practical experience with photovoltaic installation, maintenance, and repairs, along with a solid understanding of electrical systems, wiring practices, and safe work methods. The role also requires the ability to read technical drawings and manuals, diagnose system problems, and communicate clearly while solving issues efficiently. Comfort working outdoors is important. Certification such as NABCEP or an equivalent credential is considered an advantage, and experience in renewable energy or solar technology is beneficial.
