Job Overview
As a Photo Specialist, you will create a warm and memorable customer experience by providing expert photo services including digital passport photos and assisting with various customer transactions—such as FedEx, Western Union, and fulfillment of online orders. You will manage the photo department’s inventory and organization to ensure supplies and products meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage warmly with customers at the photo counter, identify their needs, and deliver personalized photo products and service solutions.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns promptly to guarantee a smooth, positive experience.
- Demonstrate and encourage exceptional customer service behaviors within the team to maintain a customer-first environment.
- Offer courteous, efficient service including digital passport photography and promotion of photo-related products and upgrades.
- Handle all customer transactions with accuracy, including sales, returns, refunds, and rain checks, while following proper cash handling guidelines.
- Manage photo department inventory and supplies, ensuring stock aligns with forecasted demand and maintaining operational readiness.
- Fulfill photo, online, and web pickup orders precisely and promptly to provide seamless service.
- Provide support for additional services such as FedEx and Western Union while adhering to relevant policies.
- Maintain photo equipment and utilize store systems effectively to troubleshoot and support daily operations.
- Keep the photo area clean, safe, organized, and well-merchandised, contributing to overall store standards.
- Assist with merchandising, promotional displays, seasonal setups, and store resets in photo and surrounding departments.
- Support cross-training efforts to ensure operational continuity and adequate coverage when not present.
- Comply with company policies, protect assets, and uphold regulatory standards to maintain a secure workplace.
- Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and participate in additional tasks as required to meet business goals.
- Participate in training sessions and complete e-learning courses assigned by management or corporate.
Qualifications
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required (except in Puerto Rico).
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred: minimum six months retail experience and previous employment with Walgreens.
- Open to applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage ranges from $15 to $17.50, dependent on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. This position offers comprehensive benefits; details are available through the employer's benefit information resources.
