Role Overview

This Phoenix opportunity sits within the Home Category team in Bengaluru and is part of a returnship program for women resuming their careers after a break. The program runs for 6 months and is designed to provide a guided, encouraging re-entry into the workplace through onboarding, learning opportunities, mentorship, and practical work exposure.

Launched in 2021, Phoenix has now reached its 5th batch as Phoenix 5.0. Participants work alongside experienced professionals in e-commerce, take on projects aligned with their strengths and interests, and may potentially be considered for full-time roles in the future.

Team and Work Environment

The Home Category team is looking for an energetic, committed, and inventive associate who can contribute to a fast-growing business area. The role is based onsite in Bengaluru.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the formulation of long-term business strategy for the category’s growth and evolution.
  • Build go-to-market plans for a selected home segment such as kitchen, soft furnishings, or decor.
  • Track industry shifts and consumer behavior to understand changing customer needs in depth.
  • Prepare competitive benchmarks and help drive execution against them.
  • Develop pricing and promotion plans that support sales and marketing outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Prior exposure to retail, sourcing, category management, or e-commerce is preferred.
  • A detail-oriented and data-led working style is an advantage.
  • Experience in vendor coordination or vendor management is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Excel fundamentals is required.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, including prioritization, scheduling, time management, and deadline management.

Eligibility

This role is intended for women returning to work after a career break. Candidates should be able to contribute in an onsite setting in Bengaluru and bring the skills and experience relevant to retail, sourcing, category management, e-commerce, or vendor management.

Program duration: 6 months.

Mode of work: Onsite.

Location: Bengaluru.
