Phlebotomist

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team at Thyrocare in Goa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Draw blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary methods accurately.
• Confirm patient identity and verify the test requisition details prior to sample collection.
• Correctly label and manage all specimens to ensure traceability for laboratory testing.
• Adhere strictly to infection control measures and follow biomedical waste disposal regulations.
• Properly store and transport collected samples to maintain integrity for analysis.
• Educate patients about the sample collection process and provide reassurance to ease their concerns.
• Maintain precise documentation and records related to blood collection procedures.
• Monitor inventory and upkeep of phlebotomy supplies and equipment to ensure readiness.
• Work in coordination with laboratory personnel to ensure timely processing of samples.
• Comply with NABL accreditation requirements, quality assurance, and workplace safety protocols.

Additional Information

The position is based in Goa and offers a monthly stipend ranging between 10,000 and 15,000 INR. Candidates should be prepared to work on-site and uphold high standards of medical ethics and patient care.
