Role overview

The organisation is seeking pharmacovigilance officers with strong self-drive and the flexibility to adapt as priorities change. Both permanent and contract opportunities are available. This role is particularly suitable for a recent graduate who wants practical experience in pharmacovigilance.

What you will do

  • Handle PV cases and product quality complaints in accordance with the company’s operating procedures.
  • Manage shared mailboxes, process cases, carry out reconciliations, resolve queries, and complete related activities to support pharmacovigilance compliance.
  • Complete routine matching of case reports against internal and external data sources.
  • Follow internal TCP SOPs and any other applicable procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Keep the pharmacovigilance system up to date and deliver structured reporting for internal managers and external clients.
  • Work with external pharmaceutical teams and wider multidisciplinary groups.
  • Protect customer confidentiality at all times.
  • Support the development and improvement of pharmacovigilance procedures.
  • Serve as a reliable source of information for the PV team and other cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure service user records and files remain accurate, complete, and current in line with client expectations.
  • Draft incident reports linked to PV matters and help drive corrective actions when issues arise, including coordination with functional leads to align processes with PV standards.
  • Follow GVP principles consistently.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by the PV Manager.
  • Maintain a professional and ethical standard of conduct while following all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A degree in life sciences, or progress toward one, is strongly preferred.
  • Very high accuracy and strong attention to detail are essential.
  • Prior exposure to good pharmacovigilance practices is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology would be beneficial.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills are needed.
  • Ability to work independently with only moderate supervision.
  • Comfort using MS Office and related tools is helpful.
