About the Role
Join the field team in Palmerston North as a hands-on pest control technician. You’ll be the first point of response for pest issues, using practical know-how, proactive service, and clear customer guidance to help solve problems before they escalate.
This is a Monday to Friday role covering Palmerston North and nearby areas, with additional travel to Napier and New Plymouth when required. Depending on customer needs, you may need to work early or late shifts and occasionally stay overnight. A company vehicle is provided to support your travel across the region.
This position uses skills-based hiring, so prior experience is not essential. If you can demonstrate the right abilities for the role, you are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect sites carefully to spot pest activity and decide on the best treatment approach.
- Carry out pest control treatments and provide customers with practical advice on prevention and management.
- Look for hygiene and environmental risks that may affect safety and cleanliness.
- Record service outcomes accurately using digital systems after each visit.
- Provide professional, friendly, and solution-focused customer service.
- Identify opportunities to offer additional services that add value for customers.
What We’re Looking For
- Permanent, full-time work rights in New Zealand.

- Confidence using mobile apps and other technology.
- Flexibility to travel and stay away overnight when required.
- Experience with pest control regulations or methods would be an advantage.
Desirable Experience
- New Zealand Certificate in Pest Operations - Urban Pest Control.
- Current New Zealand firearms licence.
- Experience or certifications for working at heights and elevated work platforms.
- Ability to drive a manual vehicle.
