Pest Control Technician

Role overview

E-Town Exterminating, part of the OPC Pest Services family and backed by Rollins, Inc., is growing quickly across Hardin County and the Elizabethtown, Kentucky area. This is a year-round full-time role in a customer-facing field service environment with competitive pay, strong benefits, and a focus on work-life balance. No prior pest control background is required.

The position involves providing pest management solutions for residential, industrial, institutional, and commercial clients. Technicians begin their day from home and use a take-home vehicle to travel their route.

Compensation and benefits

• Hourly pay structure with expected annual earnings between $40,000 and $60,000, plus uncapped sales commissions.
• Take-home vehicle to start and finish the workday, with company branding support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pest control services to residential and commercial customers while following company procedures, manufacturer guidance, and government regulations.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and respond to their pest-related concerns.
• Look for opportunities to grow the customer base.
• Carefully read and apply product label directions during service work.
• Keep accurate field documentation such as service tickets, inspection notes, and service agreements.
• Coordinate with call center and office teams to plan, adjust, and prioritize service visits.
• Contribute as an active member of the branch team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience in home services is preferred but not mandatory.
• No pest control experience is necessary.
• Must maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screening.

Physical demands and work environment

• Use ladders safely within the manufacturer’s weight limits.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Access crawl spaces, attics, confined areas, rooftops, and similar locations as needed.
• Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
