Role overview

In this position, you become a key part of the rail operation by making sure the right train staff is in the right place at the right time. Your work directly supports punctuality, safety, and service quality across the fleet.
What you will do
- Create and maintain duty rosters, shift schedules, and workforce plans for train crews.
- Coordinate vacation, training, and other absence-related planning.
- Arrange travel logistics and hotel bookings for new employees.
- Manage hotel block allocations for train staff.
- Work closely with operations control, recruitment, and staffing coordination teams.
- Support administrative tasks connected to train personnel.
- Use and maintain planning systems such as Wilson and Navan.
- Help improve internal processes and workflow efficiency on an ongoing basis.
What we are looking for
- Fluent German, with at least C1 level; English is an advantage.
- Prior experience in workforce planning, dispatching, or shift scheduling.
- Rail industry experience is beneficial.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good understanding of the German Working Time Act (ArbZG).
- Strong organizational ability, a structured approach, and solution-oriented thinking.
- Communicative, reliable, and comfortable working in a team.
