About the Role
Join the compassionate team at Villa Maria Fortitude Valley as a Personal Care Assistant delivering respectful, high-quality support to aged care residents. This opportunity is available in permanent and casual positions, offering a flexible and supportive working environment. You will assist in maintaining the dignity, comfort, and independence of residents by providing personal care aligned with individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal hygiene, including showering, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, meal times, and facilitate social interaction.
- Offer companionship to enhance overall resident wellbeing.
- Keep resident accommodations and communal dining areas clean and orderly.
- Respond swiftly to residents’ call bells.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents’ conditions to Registered Nurses.
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, and team-focused care setting.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
- Preferably with more than one year of experience in a residential aged care environment.
- Demonstrates warmth, respect, and a resident-centered approach.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with a care team.
- Strong communication abilities and effective time management.
- Dedicated to safety, quality care, and alignment with organisational values.
