About the Role
Durham District School Board is hiring a permanent teacher to support a Grade 2/3 assignment in Goodwood, Ontario. This is a 0.1 FTE position within an elementary setting, with a focus on building an engaging, supportive classroom where students can learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach lessons that are interesting, curriculum-aligned, and supportive of student achievement.
- Track student learning, evaluate progress, and provide helpful feedback that supports improvement.
- Foster a classroom climate that is welcoming, respectful, and inclusive for every learner.
- Work with fellow staff, families, and the wider community to strengthen student success.
- Adjust instruction and learning materials to suit varied student needs and learning styles.
Qualifications and Additional Information
- Required subject qualification: Primary.
- Assignment details: Grade 2/3.
- Position FTE: 0.1.
- Applicants must hold an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate in good standing.
- Salary range for the elementary permanent grid: $53,352 to $119,967 per year, with placement determined by QECO rating and teaching experience; pay will be prorated according to FTE.
