  • Respond to and investigate questions and complaints from bus operators, school staff, parents, municipalities, and members of the public, and ensure every call is recorded.
  • Maintain transportation databases by gathering information from school systems and other sources, then entering and updating details such as student demographics in route software accurately.
  • Support route and ridership reconciliation work needed for operator payments.
  • Carry out clerical work such as electronic and paper filing, tracking misconduct forms and operator/driver details, data entry, and drafting and sending correspondence.
  • Protect confidential information at all times.
  • Complete other related duties as needed.

Qualifications and skills

  • Ability to read digital maps accurately and use them effectively.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft and Google tools such as Gmail and MS Office Suite (Word and Excel), as well as other Board systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work well with others and apply de-escalation techniques.
  • Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to set priorities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Working knowledge of Board policies, procedures, and operator contracts.
  • Strong customer service capability.
