Performance Test Lead (Singaporean Only)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Lead to oversee the comprehensive performance testing efforts of software applications and systems within our Singapore office. This role requires a Singaporean candidate with extensive experience in performance testing and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of performance testing, managing end-to-end activities to ensure software system reliability and efficiency.
• Develop and implement performance testing strategies, including test plans, workload modeling, and tailored scenarios aligned to business and technical needs.
• Create, execute, and update performance test scripts utilizing industry-standard tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar platforms.
• Perform various testing types including load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity assessments.
• Investigate testing outcomes to pinpoint system bottlenecks and suggest actionable optimizations to enhance performance.
• Partner collaboratively with engineering, infrastructure, network, database, and operations teams to diagnose and resolve performance-related problems.
• Utilize performance monitoring solutions to supervise application and infrastructure health and efficiency.
• Integrate performance testing seamlessly into project workflows and release schedules to support timely delivery.
• Compile comprehensive reports presenting test findings, risks, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Set up and promote performance testing standards, best practices, and governance within the testing team.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
• Have a minimum of 10 years in software testing, with at least 5 years exclusively focused on leading performance testing for medium to large enterprise platforms.
• Demonstrate expertise in designing and conducting a range of performance tests including load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity.
• Proficient in using performance testing tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter or equivalents.
• Solid understanding of application architectures, web technologies, APIs, microservices, cloud environments, and distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of database principles and practical SQL skills for identifying database-related performance issues.
• Experience diagnosing performance bottlenecks across applications, infrastructure, networks, and databases.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong grasp of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), defect tracking, and release processes.
• Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
