About the Team
The Global Service Delivery (GSD) team ensures Agoda's office infrastructure and staff connectivity, providing essential hardware, software, and system access for employees globally. Within GSD, the People Technology (HR Tech) team manages systems like Workday, supporting key HR processes such as employee lifecycle management, performance reviews, and organizational data to facilitate efficient scaling and enhance employee experience.
The Opportunity
Agoda is seeking a People Technology Manager for the Implementation Team to lead the Workday Functional Team. This role is crucial for transforming how technology supports global People operations. You will manage platforms including Workday, Zendesk, and Greenhouse, spearheading the implementation of new Workday modules, enhancing existing functionalities, and driving continuous improvements across Agoda’s HR technology ecosystem. You will be instrumental in Agoda’s HR Tech Transformation journey, contributing to initiatives like Workday Journeys and the Workday AI agent roadmap. This position involves evaluating current module designs, identifying improvement areas, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior People team leadership. Collaboration with Agoda’s Technology teams to explore and build hybrid solutions for emerging HR Tech use cases is also a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the technical roadmap and implementation strategy for Agoda’s HR Tech transformation in collaboration with the People Tech PMO Manager.
- Assess current functional configurations to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, aiming to reduce technical debt and establish governance for application management, change requests, and project implementation best practices, in partnership with the People Tech Operational Excellence Manager.
- Lead and mentor a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the implementation, enhancement, and redesign of Workday modules across Agoda.
- Foster team growth and enhance the technical portfolio and organizational resilience through strategic talent development and capability-building initiatives.
- Define and drive Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that align with the HR Tech transformation journey, in conjunction with People Tech Leadership.
- Collaborate closely with key leaders across Agoda to ensure HR technology initiatives are aligned with overarching business priorities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams, ideally within a Workday environment.
- Demonstrated success in driving HR digital transformation initiatives across platforms such as Workday, Zendesk, ServiceNow, and Greenhouse, including full lifecycle implementation delivery.
- Proficiency in Scrum ceremonies and experience operating effectively within an Agile framework.
- A strong understanding of the Workday SKU landscape, encompassing modules like Journeys, Recruiting, Position Management, AI Agents, and Adaptive Planning.
- A solid grasp of the hire-to-retire lifecycle, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into a comprehensive HR transformation roadmap.
- Comfort and capability in navigating ambiguous environments, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving edge cases, dependencies, and potential risks.
- A strong team-oriented mindset with a high degree of ownership, capable of contributing subject-matter expertise while collaborating to address intricate challenges.
- Proven ability to lead continuous improvement efforts that streamline processes, boost scalability, and reduce operational complexity.
- Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to derive insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
