Job description
About the Company
Notion is a collaborative AI workspace designed to help teams and agents work together in one place. It brings knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools into a single environment so work can feel more connected, clearer, and more efficient. The platform is used by individuals, small teams, and large enterprises alike.
Employees at Notion are expected to be the first users of the company’s vision for the future of work. The organization values strong craftsmanship, durable solutions, and the belief that meaningful work remains deeply human. Teams are focused on setting a high standard for how people collaborate in the AI era, whether that means building a company’s source of truth, managing AI agents, or reducing repetitive work.
About the Role
This is an early-career opportunity for someone who enjoys taking uncertainty and turning it into forward movement. The role spans a range of People team responsibilities, with the main objective of identifying priorities, moving projects ahead, and contributing to high-impact work based on business needs.
You will support People leadership on initiatives such as employer branding, internal mobility, and global onboarding, helping improve the overall employee experience. The role calls for someone who communicates well, brings people together across functions, and executes with consistency and speed.
The ideal candidate is curious, motivated to grow, and interested in developing a broad foundation in People operations. This position is meant to be a launch point for learning from strong leaders, shaping employee experiences, and building expertise across many parts of People work. Energy, optimism, and genuine care for employees are essential.
What You’ll Do
- Help keep the People team aligned on strategic goals by identifying gaps early, putting workable processes in place, and removing blockers.
- Own projects from concept through delivery, making sure they stay aligned with priorities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Support People leaders in handling complex and sensitive situations thoughtfully so employees receive a strong experience.
- Work closely with many different partners across the company, including leadership, project owners, facilities/environment teams, and new hires.
- Contribute to culture by building strong relationships, understanding what makes the organization distinct, and helping preserve key values and rituals as the company grows.
What You’ll Bring
- A builder’s mindset with strong organization and project management skills, plus experience balancing several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, anticipating change, and turning broad goals into practical next steps.
- A genuine interest in AI tools and a desire to use them to automate work, reduce manual effort, and improve execution.
- A record of delivering high-quality work with attention to detail, testing outcomes end to end, and using data to inform decisions.
- Strong problem-solving ability, including the skill to break complex issues into clear solutions while considering business impact.
- Clear, proactive communication and a high level of ownership, with the ability to move work forward independently while knowing when to ask questions.
Compensation
For San Francisco-based candidates, the estimated hourly rate is $40 to $57 per hour, which annualizes to a base salary range of $85,000 to $120,000 per year. Total compensation may also include equity and benefits, and the final offer depends on factors such as location, role scope, complexity, and the candidate’s background.
