Role overview
This opportunity is being shared for a partner company that will handle applications and all follow-up steps. The employer is seeking a People Project Manager located in the United States.
This position is central to the People organization and is focused on bringing structure, clarity, and strong execution to high-impact HR initiatives. You will lead cross-functional programs across multiple People areas, keeping strategy, delivery, and adoption aligned. The setting is fast-moving and collaborative, so the role calls for sound judgment, flexibility, and the ability to organize complex, ambiguous work. You will serve as a key link between HR, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and senior leadership, making sure initiatives move forward with discipline and transparency. The job blends strategic program leadership with practical execution, from problem framing through final recommendations. It also supports better governance, tighter process controls, and ongoing improvement across People operations. This is a high-visibility role for someone who enjoys creating impact through organized execution and cross-functional influence.
Key responsibilities
- Own People programs and projects from initial problem scoping through implementation and final recommendations, keeping them aligned with broader business priorities.
- Create detailed project plans, coordinate timelines, and refine workflows so delivery remains efficient and easy to track.
- Monitor progress closely, spot risks early, and put mitigation plans in place to protect outcomes.
- Work in close partnership with stakeholders across HR, Legal, Finance, Engineering, and leadership to maintain alignment and momentum.
- Build and maintain governance structures that support compliance with internal standards, established best practices, and control requirements.
- Develop polished presentations and decision-support materials for senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
- Encourage collaboration, continuous improvement, and an experimental mindset within the People function.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in project management, business operations, strategy, or consulting, with a minimum of 2 years in an HR or People team.
- Strong background operating in complex cross-functional environments involving HR, Finance, Legal, Product, Technology, and executive partners.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and deliver results with urgency, structure, and careful execution.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, supported by a data-informed approach to decisions and prioritization.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to varied audiences, including senior leaders.
- Working knowledge of project management tools such as Asana, Jira, and Airtable, along with familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methods.
- Demonstrated ability to earn trust, influence stakeholders, and align multiple teams and priorities.
- Experience managing several concurrent projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining strong delivery quality.
- Preferred experience includes change management frameworks such as ADKAR, HR platforms like HCM, ATS, LMS, and CRM systems, enablement program design, and AI-based productivity tools.
Perks and benefits
- Competitive pay package comparable to senior People Operations and program management positions.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Flexible work setup with remote or hybrid arrangements based on team needs.
- Paid time off that includes vacation, holidays, and personal days.
- Career growth opportunities and exposure to large-scale People transformation work.
- Access to modern collaboration tools and AI-supported workflows to improve productivity.
- Inclusive, high-impact culture centered on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
