About Curai Health
Curai Health develops AI-powered health agents that connect patients with a virtual primary care clinic. The company is known for bringing machine learning into healthcare and for providing primary care that is simpler to use, more convenient, and more accessible at a lower cost than traditional models. Curai Health operates with a remote-first approach and welcomes applicants from across the United States. Its corporate office is in San Francisco.
About the Role
Curai Health is hiring an HR Systems & Operations Specialist to combine hands-on people operations support with ownership of core HR platforms and workflows. In this position, you will support employees throughout the full HR lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits, payroll, and compliance, while helping keep HR data, systems, and processes accurate, efficient, and scalable. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys both employee support and the operational details behind systems and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support onboarding and offboarding for both employees and contractors.
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing in partnership with the PEO.
- Help manage benefits administration, payroll coordination, tax activities, and compliance tasks.
- Work with People/HR leadership to launch new policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Look for ways to simplify and improve HR workflows through technology.
- Administer the Employer of Record system for international team members.
- Assist the recruiting team by coordinating and scheduling interviews.
- Act as the main administrator and subject-matter expert for BambooHR, Remote, Notion, and Sequoia One.
- Keep employee records current and ensure HR data remains accurate and reliable.
- Create reports and dashboards that support compliance and informed decision-making.
- Introduce system upgrades, integrations, and workflow enhancements.
- Review HR data regularly to find and fix inconsistencies or errors.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of experience in HR, people operations, or a closely related field; backgrounds in employment law, legal operations, or compliance-related work are also welcome.
- Practical experience administering HRIS platforms.
- Solid understanding of core HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements; experience with multi-state issues or contractor classification is an advantage.
- Prior experience supporting, or helping transition from, a PEO to an in-house HR model is preferred.
- Comfort working both with employees and behind the scenes on systems and processes.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and careful handling of sensitive information.
- Clear communication and strong problem-solving ability.
- Experience in a startup or fast-growing company is a plus.
Compensation
The expected salary for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 per year. The company notes that the final base pay will depend on qualifications and relevant experience at the time of hiring.
Benefits
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Flexible spending accounts/plans.
- Generous and adaptable PTO, including floating holidays and parental leave.
- 401(k) plan with employer match.
- Fully remote work from home.
Culture
You’ll be joining a mission-driven team of talented colleagues who work closely together, live the company’s values, and aim to create meaningful impact in healthcare.
