Job description
Role Overview
The People Operations Specialist position is a part-time and remotely based role dedicated to overseeing the comprehensive employee lifecycle within the Pós-Graduação Engenharia de Dados e Inteligência Artificial program. The responsibilities include managing HR procedures such as onboarding, offboarding, and contract amendments while adhering strictly to institutional HR regulations and labor laws applicable locally. The incumbent manages employee records, coordinates benefits and leave requests, and addresses everyday HR queries.
Key Responsibilities
Additional duties involve supporting initiatives related to employee performance and engagement, facilitating recruitment processes, maintaining HR documentation and technology systems, and compiling reports and metrics for managerial review. Collaboration with various academic and administrative departments aims to enhance and streamline people operations practices continually.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Human Resources operations, particularly in managing employee lifecycle events and ensuring smooth daily HR functioning.
- Proficiency with HR management systems and personnel management, including record-keeping and engagement programs.
- Understanding of HR policy frameworks and employee benefits with the ability to ensure compliance and effective communication across teams.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage time effectively, and precise documentation capabilities, especially within remote, part-time work environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse academic and professional groups.
- Familiarity with HR information systems and basic competency in digital productivity tools such as spreadsheets, document workflows, and communication platforms.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly while adhering to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Educational background of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a similar discipline, or corresponding professional experience.
