Job description
Overview
We are looking for a skilled People (HR) Manager to join our proactive team and manage the daily operations of the People and Administration department throughout the UAE. This role encompasses overseeing all facets of HR management such as operational activities and executing strategies aligned with the company's objectives. Reporting line is directly to the Head of People.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding and orientation to ensure newcomers integrate smoothly and professionally into the company.
- Contribute to the Regional People Strategic Plan and handle the full employee lifecycle including recruitment assistance, onboarding, probation evaluations, employee growth, and exit procedures.
- Keep HR records confidential, accurate, and current per company policy and data protection laws.
- Guarantee consistent enforcement of HR policies, procedures, and governance across all business areas.
- Handle employee relations, addressing conflicts, discipline, and grievances in a fair, consistent, and lawful manner.
- Offer expert HR advice to managers and employees on workplace issues, policies, and best practices.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work culture reflecting Knight Frank’s values.
- Create and lead well-being and employee engagement programs to boost morale and team solidarity.
- Ensure strict adherence to UAE labor laws and relevant regulations including contracts, working hours, leave, and statutory duties.
- Stay updated on labor law changes and advise leadership on necessary policy adjustments.
- Support internal audits to maintain compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Collaborate with the Head of Learning & Development and leadership to implement training and development initiatives enhancing staff skills and career growth.
- Help administer performance management systems to improve productivity, accountability, and engagement.
- Assist managers in conducting performance appraisals, setting objectives, and planning development.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor for leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management aligned with regional strategies.
- Support HR initiatives that align with business growth strategies.
- Analyze HR data and metrics to aid data-driven decisions and organizational enhancements.
- Support recruitment and workforce planning by assisting Talent Acquisition and hiring managers in efficient and compliant hiring processes.
- Help manage compensation and benefits programs ensuring market alignment and internal fairness.
- Participate in salary benchmarking, promotions, and reward systems with leadership collaboration.
- Provide continuous office management and operational HR support as required.
- Perform additional duties as needed to maintain HR department and organizational effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of regional business culture and labor law compliance in the UAE.
- Proficiency using computers and information technology systems, including internal Knight Frank platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as necessary.
